Scottsdale Culinary Festival 2014

We all need it and we all love it.  It is food and the week long (April 8 – 13, 2014) Scottsdale Culinary Festival is the place to enjoy the very best of food and fun.  The festival operates as a fundraiser for the Scottsdale League of Arts.

The Culinary Festival kicks off old Hollywood style with a party at the Old Casablanca Lounge featuring classic drinks and a menu from area Southbridge restaurants.   The Musical Instrument Museum will host a wine and chocolate event that is sure to please everyone’s palate.

While culinary may mean elite or expensive to some, it really is a word to describe even the most usual of classic foods – the hamburger.  The Burger Battle on April 10 will offer up a tasty trove of burgers from the Valley area.  If a higher class of culinary is more your style then attend the 4-course gourmet Italian dinner being served up by Chef Gabrielle Bertaccini of Il Tocco Food.  This event will be in a secret location that will be disclosed a few days prior.  Either of these events is sure to make your taste buds sing.

End the work week with a wine tasting from unique wineries and a spring fashion show along with some of the finest cuisine from Valley restaurants.  Follow that up with the Great Arizona Picnic on Saturday & Sunday where guests can enjoy food and drinks from 50 restaurants over 25 acres and attend various cooking demonstrations.  Tired of the wine, the Blue Moon Southwest Festival brings 200 specialty beers into five of the Great Picnic acres.

Scottsdale Culinary Festival week ends with a five-course dinner prepared and served table side by the chef from one of ten restaurants. Wine will be paired with each course for a tantalizing taste explosion.   This meal will be a perfect end to a perfect week of food.
